About this project

A read-later app where your notes live in the margins.

Save articles and PDFs, then annotate them the way you would a paper book. Highlights and margin notes sync to a single searchable notebook. Marginalia is deliberately slow software: no feeds, no recommendations, no streaks.

  • Notes in the margins
Annotate articles and PDFs the way you would a paper book.
  • One searchable notebook
Highlights and margin notes sync to a single place.
  • Deliberately slow
No feeds, no recommendations, no streaks. Just reading.
  • Lovely typography
Built for people who read the whole page.

A quieter notebook

The notebook now opens beside the article, so you can see your highlights without leaving the page. Kindle clippings import is next.

Smart people. Helpful takes.

The typography is lovely. I read the whole landing page, which I think is your point.

No Kindle import is a deal-breaker for me — my highlights live there.

Noted. Kindle clippings import is on the list; the format is a mess but doable.
